General questions
Cheshire Cricket Coaching supports junior and senior cricketers who want to improve their skills, grow in confidence and enjoy their cricket.
We work with players at different stages, from children who are still developing their basics through to club, pathway and performance players looking for more focused support.
Most coaching takes place at Mobberley Cricket Club.
Some sessions or programmes may occasionally take place at other approved venues, depending on the coaching format. Details are always confirmed before sessions take place.
That depends on the player and what they need.
1-to-1 coaching is best for individual support. Cricket camps are a good option during the school holidays. The Cheshire Performance Academy is for players who are ready for a more focused development environment.
1-to-1 coaching FAQs

1-to-1 coaching is suitable for junior and senior cricketers who want individual support with their game.
Sessions can help players with batting, bowling, wicket-keeping, confidence, decision-making and match performance.
Each session is shaped around the player, rather than following a fixed programme.
Each 1-to-1 coaching session lasts 60 minutes.
This gives enough time for focused coaching, discussion and feedback, without the session feeling too long — especially for younger players.
You can choose the coach you feel is the best fit.
Some players and parents know who they would like to work with. Others prefer a bit of guidance. If you are unsure, please get in touch and we’ll help you choose the most suitable coach.
Yes. In some cases, this can work well.
For example, a player may work regularly with one coach and then have occasional input from another coach for a specific part of their game.
Where this happens, we keep the coaching joined up so the player feels supported, not confused.
For most players, weekly sessions work well, especially when they are developing or changing part of their technique.
Some players may train every two or three weeks depending on their age, schedule and what they are working on.
We’ll help you find a rhythm that supports progress without overloading the player.
Yes. We offer single sessions and blocks of 5 or 10 sessions.
Single sessions are useful if you want to try 1-to-1 coaching or focus on one part of the game.
Block bookings are better for players who want regular support and more consistent progress over time.
Yes, where appropriate.
Most sessions include clear takeaways, such as a technical focus, practice idea or something to be aware of in matches.
The aim is to help players take their learning into games, not just perform well during the session.
Cricket Camps FAQs

Our cricket camps are for boys and girls who enjoy being active and want to spend time playing cricket during the school holidays.
The current Summer 2026 camps are for children aged 7–11.

The main thing is that they enjoy being active, joining in and learning with others.
Each day includes a mix of cricket coaching, games and activities.
Children are kept active and involved throughout the day, with plenty of time to play, practice and enjoy their cricket.
Our camps take place at Mobberley Cricket Club.
Full details, including dates, timings, age groups and booking options, are shared on the relevant camp booking page.
When camps are open for booking, you can book directly through the camp booking page.
Payment is made upfront and secures your child’s place.
