Coaching services, payments and contracts provided under the Cheshire Cricket Coaching name are provided through Nathan Wood Consulting Ltd.

Independence and affiliation

Cheshire Cricket Coaching is an independent cricket coaching provider.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any county cricket board or governing body unless a specific partnership or arrangement is expressly stated.

Coaching services

Cheshire Cricket Coaching may provide:

• 1-to-1 cricket coaching
• Group coaching
• Holiday and summer camps
• Cheshire Performance Academy programmes
• Other cricket coaching or development programmes advertised from time to time

Availability, coaches, venues, prices and programme details may vary between services.

Enquiries and bookings

Some CCC services begin with an enquiry, while others can be purchased directly through the website or an authorised payment link.

Submitting an enquiry does not by itself guarantee a coaching place or session.

Where a service requires an enquiry or assessment before booking, coaching is only confirmed once CCC has agreed the arrangement with you.

Where coaching is available for direct purchase, payment confirms the purchase of the relevant session or package. The actual date and time of individual coaching sessions may then be arranged separately with the coach or CCC.

Bookings are subject to coach, venue and facility availability.

Payments

Payments are made to Nathan Wood Consulting Ltd, trading as Cheshire Cricket Coaching.

Where payment is required:

• Payment is normally required in advance
• Online payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Prices displayed at the time of purchase apply to that booking unless otherwise agreed
• Pricing may vary depending on the coach, service, session format or programme

Cheshire Cricket Coaching does not directly store full card details.

1-to-1 coaching

Booking individual sessions

The date and time of a 1-to-1 session will normally be agreed between CCC, the coach and the customer after purchase or enquiry, as appropriate.

Rescheduling or cancelling a session

If you need to cancel or rearrange a 1-to-1 session:

• At least 48 hours’ notice should be given to rearrange the session
• Where less than 48 hours’ notice is given, the session may be charged in full or deducted from a coaching block
• Missed sessions where no notice is provided are normally treated as used and are non-refundable

We recognise that exceptional circumstances can arise and may consider these individually at our discretion.

Coaching blocks

Packages of 5 or 10 sessions are sold as a commitment to a block of coaching.

Once coaching within a block has begun, refunds for unused sessions are not normally provided, except where required by law or where the circumstances mean a refund or other remedy is appropriate.

Individual sessions within a block remain subject to the 48-hour cancellation and rearrangement policy above.

Group coaching and Performance Academy

Places on group programmes and Performance Academy programmes are limited and planning is based on confirmed participants.

Once a programme has started:

• Missed sessions are not normally refundable
• Participants should notify CCC if they are unable to attend
• Customer cancellations after the programme has started are not normally refundable
• Where CCC has to cancel a session, we will aim to rearrange it or provide an appropriate alternative where reasonably possible

Any programme-specific conditions provided when booking will also apply.

Holiday and summer camps

Camp places are normally paid for in advance.

Because individual camps may differ in length, venue, staffing and format, the cancellation and refund terms applicable to a particular camp will be stated when that camp is offered for booking.

Those specific booking terms should be read together with these Terms & Conditions.

Weather and facility use

Cricket coaching may be affected by weather, ground conditions and facility availability.

Safety will always take priority.

Where weather or conditions make a session unsafe or impractical, CCC may:

• Adapt the session where appropriate
• Change the location where a suitable alternative is available
• Rearrange the session

Most coaching currently takes place at Mobberley Cricket Club or other approved venues.

Changes to coaches, venues or sessions

Occasionally it may be necessary to make reasonable changes to:

• The coach delivering a session
• The venue
• Session timing
• Session structure
• Programme arrangements

Where a material change is necessary, we will communicate it as clearly and as early as reasonably possible.

If CCC cannot provide the service purchased and a reasonable alternative cannot be agreed, we will provide an appropriate refund or other remedy where required.

Player conduct and behaviour

Players are expected to:

• Treat coaches, staff and other participants respectfully
• Follow reasonable coaching and safety instructions
• Use facilities and equipment appropriately
• Behave in a way that supports a safe and professional coaching environment

CCC may stop a player taking part where behaviour is unsafe, seriously disruptive or places the player or others at risk.

Where participation is ended because of the player’s behaviour, a refund is not guaranteed and the circumstances will be considered individually.

Parents and guardians

For junior players, parents or guardians are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information when making enquiries or bookings
• Informing CCC about relevant information that may affect safe and appropriate participation
• Ensuring players arrive at the agreed time
• Arranging prompt collection after coaching where applicable
• Providing suitable emergency contact information when requested

Unless specifically agreed otherwise, CCC’s responsibility for a junior participant relates to the scheduled coaching period and does not extend indefinitely before or after the session.

Health, medical and safeguarding information

Parents, guardians and adult participants should tell CCC about any relevant medical, health, accessibility or safeguarding information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide coaching safely and appropriately.

This information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.

If there is any uncertainty about whether someone is medically fit to participate in cricket activity, appropriate professional medical advice should be obtained.

Photography and media

From time to time, photographs or short video clips may be taken for legitimate purposes such as coaching review, communication or promotion of Cheshire Cricket Coaching.

Where permission or consent is required, it will be sought appropriately.

We will not knowingly use identifiable images of children for promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

Parents or guardians can tell us that they do not want their child included in photography or promotional media.

Equipment and safety

Cricket involves physical activity and carries inherent risks.

Players should:

• Follow coaches’ safety instructions
• Use appropriate cricket equipment
• Wear suitable protective equipment for the activity being undertaken
• Tell a coach if they feel unwell, injured or unable to participate safely

CCC takes reasonable care in planning and delivering coaching and maintains appropriate insurance for its activities.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from negligence where the law does not permit such liability to be excluded.

CCC is not responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control or by a participant failing to follow reasonable safety instructions, except where the law provides otherwise.

Consumer cancellation rights

Your rights when cancelling a purchase may depend on the type of coaching purchased and how the booking has been arranged.

Online and other distance service contracts can in some circumstances carry statutory cancellation rights. However, UK consumer rules include exceptions for certain services connected with leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any cancellation, refund or other consumer right you are legally entitled to.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies, Cheshire Cricket Coaching will honour that right in accordance with applicable law.

Our individual service cancellation policies should therefore be read subject to your statutory rights.

Refunds

Where these Terms state that a payment or missed session is not normally refundable, this does not remove any refund or other remedy to which you are entitled under consumer law.

Where a customer cancels and a refund is not otherwise required by law, CCC may take into account costs already incurred, reserved coaching capacity and other reasonable losses resulting from the cancellation.

Circumstances outside our reasonable control

Sometimes coaching may be prevented or materially affected by circumstances beyond CCC’s reasonable control.

These could include severe weather, unsafe facilities, venue closure, illness or other events that could not reasonably have been avoided.

Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the affected service or offer an appropriate alternative.

Data protection

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy , which explains how Cheshire Cricket Coaching collects, uses, stores and protects personal information.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, booking processes, business practices or applicable legal requirements.

The current version will always be published on this page.

Changes will not remove statutory rights relating to purchases already made.
