JOIN OUR COACHING TEAM
Cheshire Cricket Coaching works with a small group of experienced, committed coaches who care about players, standards, and long-term development.
Our work is professional and parent-trusted. We take care over who represents us, both on and off the field.
We welcome applications from qualified ECB coaches who are interested in delivering freelance coaching within a supportive, well-run structure.

FREELANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR QUALIFIED ECB COACHES
Who we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from coaches who:
- Hold a minimum of ECB Level 2 coaching qualification
- Have a current, valid DBS check (or are willing to obtain one prior to any coaching delivery)
- Are confident working with junior players, parents, and adult cricketers
- Communicate clearly, calmly, and professionally
- Take pride in preparation, session quality, and player experience
- Share our focus on long-term development rather than quick-wins
You don’t need to be available for every service we offer.
Coaching opportunities
Depending on experience, availability, and interest, freelance coaches may support:
- 1-to-1 coaching sessions
- Group coaching programmes
- Holiday and summer camps
- Performance pathway and academy delivery
All coaching is delivered within the Cheshire Cricket Coaching framework, with clear expectations that support players, parents, and coaches alike.
How we work
Coaches working with Cheshire Cricket Coaching do so on a freelance basis.
- All bookings, payments, and communication are managed centrally
- Coaches are paid per session or programme delivered
- Session expectations and standards are clear and consistent
- Support and guidance are provided where needed
This allows coaches to focus on coaching well, while we ensure a consistent, professional experience for players and parents.
What we value
Beyond qualifications, we value coaches who:
- Reflect on their practice and welcome feedback
- Take responsibility for standards and presentation
- Are reliable, punctual, and well-organised
- Understand the importance of trust in parent-led environments
Experience in academies, schools, county pathways, or professional environments is welcomed, but not essential.
Our recruitment approach
We take a considered, quality-first approach to recruitment.
- Applications are reviewed manually
- Suitable candidates are invited to an informal conversation
- Some roles may involve observation or a phased onboarding process
Submitting an application does not guarantee work, but every application is treated carefully and confidentially.
